Who Is The MP For Ketu North Municipal Assembly? – All You Need To Know About James Klutse Avedzi

James Klutse Avedzi is a politician from Ghana who serves as a representative for the National Democratic Congress in the Volta Region’s Ketu North Constituency in the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.

Early life

On July 14, 1964, James Klutse Avedzi was born. He is a native of Xipe in Ghana’s Volta Region. In 2016, he earned a master’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Liverpool. At the University of Costa Rica, he continued his education by pursuing a Ph.D. in international and political finance in business. He also had an MCIT from the Ghana Chartered Institute of Taxation and an ICA-G from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ghana. Additionally, he was a Fcfia graduate of Ghana’s Chartered Institute of Financial and Investment Analysis.

Personal life

James is a married father of four kids. He attends the Global Evangelical Church as a Christian. After being ill for a long time at the Ketu South District Hospital, his wife passed away on January 30, 2020.

His wife died at and till now, James Klutse Avedzi is still unmarried. The name of his late wife is unknown.

Career

Before running for politics in 2004, James Klutse Avedzi served as the department’s principal accountant at the Controller and Accountant Generals Department in Accra. He formerly served as the Ghanaian parliament’s Finance Committee Chairperson. Moreover, he served as the head of the parliamentary Public Accounts Committee. Also, he served as the NDC’s deputy minority leader in parliament.

Political career

James is a National Democratic Congress (NDC) member. In 2005, he ran for and won the Ketu North constituency seat in parliament. Since that time, he has served as the representative for the Ketu North Constituency in the 4th Republic of Ghana’s 5th, 6th, and 7th Parliaments.

Achievements

In his district, he built roads and awarded scholarships to youngsters. He constructed schools and brought water to areas with water shortages. He linked over 150 communities to the national grid while serving as a member of parliament.
